Russia swept Iran aside in the FIVB Volleyball Men's Junior World Championship 2011 on Friday night.
Seven-time world champion scored its fifth consecutive victory in the event by downing Iran 3-0 (25-21, 25-19 and 25-22) in a second round match of Pool E at the Maracanazinho Gymnasium, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.“Russia played a great match, especially in serving and blocking. They were very concentrated and, thanks to that, they could control the match even in the moments we were playing well,” Iran coach Jovica Cvetkovic said during the post-match news conference.
Iran is scheduled to play Spain on Sunday.
